Our journey
Chinatown remains because people stood together.
Sien Lok Society was incorporated in 1968 in response to a threat to Calgary’s current Chinatown. Without the help of community associations more than 50 years ago, Calgary might not have the Chinatown it knows today.
Our volunteers continue that legacy through year-round activities, cultural initiatives and support for the community.
