The short answer
The template browser offers two different operations. Adding pages preserves more of the current site, while changing the design can replace the current page structure and theme.
Availability: Available to accounts with Website Builder access. Some tools depend on the selected plan, site role or connected service.
Step-by-step

Open Website Templates
In the editor, find Website Templates and choose Open. Search by template name or filter by industry.

Open Demo first
Choose Demo to inspect the complete template before applying it to the site.

Choose the intended operation
Select Add 5 Pages to add the template page set, or Change Website Design to apply the broader template design.

Review the impact dialog
Read the page and replacement summary carefully, then confirm only when it matches your intent.

Use Undo template change promptly if needed
After a design replacement, use the one-time Undo template change banner before it expires or is dismissed.
