The short answer

CRM Automations is currently a workflow designer and simulation tool. It saves plans and records run summaries, but does not yet place calls, send SMS or email, evaluate conditions or schedule automatic execution.

Availability: Available to accounts with Customers CRM access. Communication, AI and provider features require their related services and permissions.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Automations

Enter a Workflow Name and Goal, then start a New Workflow or edit a saved one.

  2. Build the canvas

Drag tasks into the canvas, reorder them and edit title, description, action and content. Displayed action types include Voice Call, Send SMS, Notify Account Owner and Send Automated Lead Email.

  3. Use AI assistance

Choose AI Generate Workflow Tasks or AI Suggestions, then accept only steps that match permissions, consent and business rules.

  4. Save the workflow

Choose Save Workflow and confirm it appears with its step and run counts.

  5. Select simulation context

Choose a target CRM contact or Latest contact, a displayed Run From Number and Manual, New Lead, Status Change, Follow-up or Scheduled label. These trigger choices are metadata only.

  6. Run and review the simulation

Use Run to create a textual summary and execution-history entry. No call, SMS, owner notification or lead email is actually sent by the current workflow executor.
