The short answer

SendGrid is the currently operational CRM email transport. Other provider and SMTP options appear in Email Settings, but their dedicated delivery transports are not yet implemented.

Availability: Available to accounts with Customers CRM access. Communication, AI and provider features require their related services and permissions.

Step-by-step

  1. Open Email Settings

Select SendGrid. The interface also lists Maingun, Amazon SES, Postmark, MailSender, Mailjet, Brevo and SMTP2GO, but those transports are not currently operational.

  2. Prepare SendGrid

Create or sign in to SendGrid, verify a sender or domain and create an API key with only the required Mail Send access.

  3. Configure identity

Enter From Name, verified From Email and optional Reply-To address.

  4. Configure delivery

Enter the SendGrid API Key and enable the provider. Keep the key only in the protected settings field.

  5. Check and verify before campaigns

Choose Test Connection to check that required configuration is present, then Save Settings. Send a controlled custom email because this check does not itself deliver a test message.
