The short answer

Deletion is permanent and may remove useful relationship context. Correct, inactivate or export a record when that better matches the business and retention need.

Availability: Available to accounts with Customers CRM access. Communication, AI and provider features require their related services and permissions.

Step-by-step

  1. Choose the least destructive action

Edit incorrect details or set Status to Inactive before deciding to delete. Preserve required data through an approved process because CRM Export is not currently available.

  2. Verify the exact customer

Confirm name, email, phone, company and related communications, then use Delete only with authority.

  3. Resolve save or import errors

Check that Name exists, at least Email or Phone is usable, status is supported and CSV headers and dates match the template.

  4. Resolve missing communication history

Normalize the customer phone number and confirm messages or calls used an active account line.

  5. Resolve outreach failures

Test the selected email provider or phone number, review opt-out and consent state, and capture the sanitized exact error.

  6. Escalate with identifiers

Provide customer, campaign, workflow or communication IDs and timestamps without passwords, API keys or private message content.
