The short answer

CMS collections separate structured content from page layout. Collection types and limits can vary by plan, so use the current CMS panel as the authority.

Availability: Available to accounts with Website Builder access. Some tools depend on the selected plan, site role or connected service.

Step-by-step

  1. Open CMS

    Find CMS in the editor and choose Open, then review existing collections and current plan limits.

  2. Choose Create Collection

    Select Internal Collection, Image Collection, Google Sheets, Airtable or External Database according to the data source.

  3. Define the structure

    Use the Collection Variables Table, Add Variable Row, Add 5 Rows or Add Column To Selected Row to model the content.

  4. Add and verify records

    Enter or connect test content and confirm each variable contains the expected type of value.

  5. Connect widgets

    Use Use as connected data in widgets, select the intended collection and verify the rendered content in Preview.
