The short answer

Store initialization prepares the website’s ecommerce workspace. Complete product, payment, shipping and checkout configuration before publishing customer-facing store components.

Availability: Available to accounts with Website Builder access. Some tools depend on the selected plan, site role or connected service.

Step-by-step

  1. Open the intended website

    Confirm the site name and domain, then enter its Website Builder editor.

  2. Choose Init Store

    Use Init Store in the top controls and complete the displayed initialization steps.

  3. Open Products

    Confirm Product Manager loads for the website and create or review at least one product.

  4. Open Orders

    Confirm the order workspace is available for the site before accepting live purchases.

  5. Add and test storefront widgets

    Add Product Grid, Cart or related ecommerce widgets, then complete a controlled checkout test.
